Oh gosh, I'm now listening to Alex To's "Qing Ren". Yeah, borrowed Adrian Poon's CD after he started to play some of these old Chinese songs on his iPod. And after that, I just fell back to those good old JC days...Ahh..The Nostalgia...It's a super old song, the year's 1999. And yes, that was my era of Chinese songs. Yes 933 was the major radio station of my time! And I think I really did enjoy myself then. Seems super gross when I look back at those times. Ah well, there were really quite a nice bunch of great songs and singers then actually. Alex To, William So, Ritchie Ren, Daniel Chan, Ronald Cheng, Wang Lee Hom, Peter Ho, Gigi Leung, Tarcy Su to name a few....
Ha, I do remember vividly tring to enter CTK's TalentNite with my own rendition of Alex To's "Qing Ren". I really spoiled his song...horrid audition I had.
Anyway, I just learned how to properly play mahjong from Gabriel, Karen and Sean. That was after Karen's 21st Birthday at her place. I was itching for some mahjong and so I decided to join this bunch of hardcore experts for a round of mahjong. (In case you dun know, a round of mahjong takes us around all 4 compass points...Dong Nan Xi Bei.) Yeah, and so began our game from 12midnite (after the last guests left her place) till 4am.
Haha, I think I picked up fast! Overall, I won 4 games in total. Not too bad for a rookie. And my last game was like dropping a bomb on my friends! It seemed I finished it in style.. (according to Sean): 3 Doors, 3 Red Zhong's, a Chicken and a Worm, and a pair of Fa's, together with a set of other 3 tiles. Haha, LUCK huh? Nah, I'm just good. Hahaha! :p
So, in total I won $9. However, we weren't playing money lah, cos I was just learning the tricks of the trade. So it's $9 in chips and a game I'll never forget!
