I had a really memorable Birthday this year!!

This year, I had a really enjoyable and memorable Birthday... I still remember some of my past few birthdays spent amidst the hustle and bustle of Army or the new school term. But this year was so so different! This year, someone really special planned an elaborate surprise for me...

"Dearie, thanks for the surprise at Clarke Quay! :)
Yeah, I really had an interesting night there...!
Will never ever forget it!"

Anyway, here's just a pic of that memorable night...
The Esplanade backdrop is just superb..!

"Happy Birthday to me..."

That was last Friday, 11th August. I had a birthday dinner just with my old foggies friends... After the dinner, we proceeded to Esplanade Park to watch the fireworks arranged by Team New Caledonia... Where in the world is New Caledonia???
Anyway, the gang had a surprise birthday cake for me afterall...! Heh...Thanks to you gals: Mel, Jac & Grace for the well-planned surprise. I really didn't know anything about it, neither did I spy anything amiss... heh.

Anyway, thank you to all those who were there with me to celebrate my 24th birthday:
Mel, Grace, Jac, Qi Qi, Peiling, Matt Chan, Fab, Alex, and Peter (who had to leave earlier)! You really made my birthday a meaningful and memorable one! And thanks for the gifts too...! :)

Your Money in the Water...

Man...what a stinker. I'm so sorry to say this to M.Night Shyamalan.. "Please explain the point of the story to us all who fail to see the light at the end of your movie's tunnel..??"

What started out to be rather promising of a tale ended up being a totally ridiculous and mundane story which was even worse than watching Snow White & the Seven Dwarves. The plot was just so incoherent and many things were left unexplained.

Seriously, I was totally surprised that the movie ended the way it did... Okay, I do admit that I was expecting some kinda plot twist or more dramatic sequences that would get me thinking. But this movie just went on and on and on without much explanation, character development etc. It was a simple story torn apart by a confusing cast of characters and disappointed by a non-existent plot. I bet even his children were bored to sleep by his 'bed-time story'.

The Village was good, cos of the build-up of the plot and the eventual twist that threw me off my seat... But I guess I was expecting much more from M.Night after his previous successful films. Bahh..It's my fault too for having such high expectations.

Well, I'm giving this movie 2 points out of 5. The credit goes to the actors Paul Giamatti and Bryce Dallas Howard who put their heart into the characters. Ohh...credit also goes to the crew who had to put up with this load of s**t. Heh.

Adventures at Anfield.

THIS IS ANFIELD! Doesn't the pitch look so cool??? :p

Here I am at the famous "This is Anfield" sign just above the staircase from the players' changing room! A bit difficult to reach it, cos it's a bit high...haha...must stretch quite some bit.

Ohhh...!!! Can you believe this was the very sign that many great Liverpool legends have touched??? People like Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, John Barnes, Kevin Keegan, Bob Paisley, Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler, Steven Gerrard etc..!!! OKAY!!!

What a wonderful world...

Hello people!
Well, many things have happened since the last time I blogged...

Firstly, I became a Godfather. Yes, an authentic godfather to an authentic god-daughter Janice. It was her confirmation that just passed by in July, and she asked me to be her godfather! Yeah...! :)

Next, I travelled to England and Ireland to attend a close friend's graduation, plus travel around on a holiday. Yes, I got to see Anfield upfront and personal!!! Oh my goodness, it was like I was in heaven! Hahah....really an experience of a life-time for any Liverpool FC fan! Ireland was really beautiful, especially the Republic's rural landscapes. Being in Ireland was also like a dream come true for me, who's always been like a kinda seudo-Irish lover. Well, I drank some Guinness there, listened to some 'live' Irish music at an authentic Irish pub, and walked the lands of the Burren and Connemara regions.

A stream in the Connemara region... Beautiful and really serene!

Following which, something ultimately more special happened! My close friend became my girlfriend. Hee:)

"Mel, it was really an unforgettable trip and a really most momentous (though odd :p) night in Belfast! Loving you lots!"
